Y ou’d be hard-pressed to find a Cat Stevens song with more music crammed into its three-minute quarters. “Ready” wouldn’t have been my choice for a second single from Buddha (“Music” fits that description better), but it is awfully catchy in an everything-but-the-kitchen-sink kind of way (as a producer, Stevens didn’t prove to have any defter a touch than Marc Bolan). The B side is the Mona Bone Jakon track, “I Think I See The Light,” which just shines tonight.
