Tony Banks
Tony Banks played keyboards (and occasional guitar) in a little band known as Genesis. His intricate keyboard passages formed the foundation of many a sublime moment on Genesis' early records and, when the band was reduced to a trio, those keyboards rose even more to the fore. However, he's never had a bankable solo career; this despite the fact that he would have been my odds-on favorite from the early Genesis troupe to do so. The Fugitive is the best of the Banks solo elpees, though its reliance on synthesizers might scare of prog purists. In 2004, Banks released a classical album, Seven.
