Vladimir Horowitz
One of the greatest concert pianists of the 20th century. Horowitz is an illusionist, a puppeteer, a seducer of sounds, a thief who would steal the source of Creation for three minutes and throw it at the feet of a Scriabin Etude. He is the chosen champion of Rachmaninoff and a careful caretaker of Chopin and Domenico Scarlatti. When he plays, angels weep, and human beings hang their heads in shame at the paucity of their language.
