T his is a promo 12-inch for the upcoming Are You Okay? release. It features three songs that appear on the subsequent CD. As it turns out, the extended radio mix of “Papa Was A Rollin’ Stone” is identical to the unextended album mix that appears on CD. Guess I was reading too much into that whole mix thing. Gullible little lemur that I am, I thought that maybe the extended radio mix would be, I dunno, different. After all, they don’t call it the extended radio mix of “Elvis’ Rolls Royce.” Or chestnut the extended radio mix of brown. Unless the idea is that the words cancel themselves out: extended, radio. That’s a possibility.
